Sidewalk Access

Buckeye Haven - Tornado Safety
  • All Buckeye Haven modular buildings will be evacuated and closed when a National Weather Service "tornado warning" is issued for Richland County.
  • All faculty, staff, students and visitors will be notified by Campus Security and directed across University Avenue to seek shelter in Riedl Hall. Evacuation plans have been posted by the doorway in each modular. Buckeye Haven will remain closed as long as a Richland County "tornado warning" remains in effect.
  • Activation of the Richland County tornado warning siren just north of campus on Lex-Springmill road alerts those who are outdoors to seek shelter.
  • Campus Security will alert modular occupants if a warning is issued by radio or siren.
